Frequently Asked Questions

  • How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better. We can’t stress enough how important it is to reserve your date. If we are too busy at the time you contact us and have no flower drying space available, we unfortunately cannot except your flowers.

  • My date is booked. What now?

Sit back and relax. Near the time to your event, we will be in touch with all the information you will need to get your flowers to us.

  • Do I have to spend a certain amount?

Yes. We do have a minimum spend of £50 (excluding postage) for all preservation orders.

  • When and how do I get my flowers to you?

You will receive a packing guide upon ordering which explains everything you need to know regarding preparing, packing and where to send your flowers. Yours flowers should get to us asap after your event. The fresher they are the better they dry. Always send next day delivery or if dropping of locally ideally the next day.

  • Can you work with pre dried flowers?

Yes, we can. Air dried flowers are welcome. We would love to create something new with your old bouquet.

  • Will all my flowers be used?

Once we receive your flowers, we will pick out the best-looking blooms to dry for your piece. We only dry what we need plus a few extras for your order unless you have told us at the time of booking you want all flowers drying (If we have the space).

We will always let you know if there are any flowers left over to add anything else on to your order.

  • How long will my order take?

Flower preservation can take anywhere from 3-6 months depending on how busy we are at the time. Our turnaround time can be longer due to reasons outside of our control. For example, Extreme heat, delivery delays etc.

We try to keep you updated throughout the process and send email updates where possible.

  • Will my flowers change during the process?

Your flowers will go through lots of different steps to preserve them A few examples of some changes that can occur,

-Red flowers can dry a very deep colour.

-White flowers can dry an off white or slightly yellow colour.

-All coloured berries will dry black.

-Some more fragile flowers can have some translucent/bruised spots once resin is poured on top. To avoid this, minimise touch/handling or throwing your bouquet.

-Some more tropical flowers can dry brown.

  • What if I am local to you?

If you live locally to me on the Isle of Wight, please get in touch to arrange a day and time to drop your flowers off. Postage costs will not apply to you if you are local and can collect.

  • Shipping out your items.

We ship out all preservation orders Royal Mail Special Delivery. This is a fully tracked and signed for service and will arrive to you next day before 1pm.

We work for months on your order so to avoid any orders being delayed or missing we would rather use a totally trusted service.

  • Will my piece change over time?

We use a resin that is high in quality, and we have vigorously tested. Each piece is made to give a 3D view of your bouquet. Over time your piece might develop a slight amber look. Almost giving it a vintage look.

Disclaimer: resin yellowing is an inevitable effect from the natural aging of your product. The best way to prevent this from happening is to leave it out of any kind of direct sunlight. We are not responsible for the natural effects of aging in your product.

  • Letters

Please note that the letters F & P are not freestanding. The letter J is lowercase.

  • Sanding down your piece

Before we top coat your piece we have to sand it down to get rid of any petals or anything poking out the bottom/top to make your piece flat. (For example the bottom of tealight holders) This is a normal step that we have to carry out. If petals are poking out they will be sanded down. This is especially needed more if your flowers are too large and the piece you have chosen is on the smaller side.

  • Refunds

Everything we make is handmade so small imperfections are really normal. Encapsulating flowers into resin you can expect some bubbles, small micro bubbles and small surface air bubbles. This is totally normal and doesn’t mean your item is faulty. Uneven edges and dust may also make their way onto your piece but please be reassured we try to minimise this as much as possible. By purchasing you are accepting these conditions.

Everything that we make is made to order so we cannot offer refunds or returns unless your item is damaged.

What to expect from your resin keepsake

When choosing to preserve your flowers in resin it’s so important to have a realistic view on what your piece will look like. This isn’t to put people off but to make you aware of the reality of resin flower preservation.

Here’s a few things you can expect from your pieces..

-Layer Lines - The pour lines will be visible on the sides of every block. The lines are less visible on other shapes but will be there as well.

-Tiny trapped bubbles

-Little bits of visible silica

-Uneven edges due to moulds

-Small little specks of dust on your piece.

Another important factor is we are making your pieces entirely by hand. We’re not Amazon workers in a factory so when there’s a little imperfection please don’t worry. This is normal… this is what makes your piece unique and handmade. Each piece is lovingly handmade and takes many hours of hands on time across months to create.

Please be reassured we try to minimise the above as much as possible. Although our best effort and attention to detail is given to every piece, if you are expecting perfection we are not the company for you.
